“The final concert of the season 2017 - 2018 classical music concerts in the framework of the Friends of Music Evenings cycle with classic belonged to  young talented artists: Aneta Ručková lyric-coloratura soprano and organist Josef Kratochvíl.

The wonderful voic of the young beautiful lady Aneta accompanied by the royal instrument, as well as the demanding organ works precisely played by the young organist Josef brightened and fulfilled the whole space of our All Saints Church. Church of All Saints in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm has recently undergone reconstruction and in addition to the new painting new lights have been installed too which have greatly enhanced the concert's atmosphere. Long standing ovation proved the satisfaction and joy of all of those they came to the concert. Many thanks to all of you!“

Organ concert with Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava (CZ)

8. February 2018, 6 PM

“The second soloist - organist Josef Kratochvíl followed. The charismatic native of Valašské Meziříčí divides his musical talent between the piano and the organ, in both cases he does so very successfully. For his performance with the Janáček Philharmonic, Josef chose the Symphony for Organ and Orchestra No. 1 in D minor by composer Alexander Guilmant. This French organist and composer was a generational kind of Brahms and Tchaikovsky. Unlike his colleagues, Guilmant focused mainly on organs of all kinds.
After the choral baroque stylization of the introduction, the typically romantic atmosphere in the rhythmically sharp-cut theme and modulation-rich harmony came under the hands of Kratochvil and the Philharmonic. Kratochvil shone in particular in a contrasting lyrical melody that revealed the popularity of the composer in Wagner. Similarly, imitation confessions and counter-rich rich invoices often referred to inspiration by Johann Sebastian Bach. Guilmant's symphony captivated me with the richness of organ registers and typically French colors. In terms of interpretation, Kratochvíl showed himself in a favorable light. He would deserve a separate organ recital in an acoustically favorable sacral space. I think the experience would be even more intense.“
